Dr. Daryl McPadden Receives NatSci 2024 Teaching Award
Dr. Daryl McPadden was awarded the 2024 College of Natural Science Undergraduate Teaching
Award. Dar. McPadden is an assistant professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy
and Physics Education Research Lab.
This award recognizes Dr. McPadden for her vast instructional efforts in Physics and
Astronomy program. This work includes designing, developing, implementing, and coordinating
the innovative PCubed and EMPCubed courses and the teaching of her own sections of
these courses. Dr. McPadden's scholarship in physics education research underpins
many of these efforts.
Her work in curriculum design and implementation is complimented by her efforts to
build inclusive classroom experiences and supportve instructional materials and processes,
so that all students can be successful in physics coursework.
